Design

We rejected conventional quad plate design and reinvented the Infinity plate from scratch. Tired of the same plate designs, we decided to do what we do best which is to innovate. We pushed the boundaries using the latest 3D design techniques, stress testing, and materials such as carbon fiber and titanium to create something unique. But we didn't stop there. We didn't just want to create the most functional plate on the market, we also wanted to create the best looking plate on the market.

Adjustability

Normally, skaters buy a plate length recommended to them by another skater, their shop, their coach or they may even just skate on the plate that comes with the boot. So how do you know if you would prefer a longer or shorter wheelbase or if you like to have your front and rear axles further to the front or rear of the skate? The Infinity plate lets you move your axles further forwards or backwards so you can find the right setup for your skating style. It also gives you the flexibility to adjust the plate's length depending on where you are skating. Skating on a tight rink? Move the axles closer together. Going for a road skate? Extend the axles for more stability.

Adjustability

Action

There are a number of truck actions on the market from 5 degrees to 32 degrees and everything in between. The infinity plates parts are interchangeable between different actions so rather than purchasing multiple plates, you can buy the parts you need to totally transform your plates action.

Carbon Fiber Plate

The Infinity's carbon fiber plate is the strongest plate on the market. This part offers exceptional strength while keeping weight to a minimum. The plate is made in a high pressure mold where the carbon fiber is hand laid and then baked in an autoclave.

The carbon plates come in three sizes Small, Medium and Large.

  • Small: Plate Size: 224mm with a wheelbase of 122mm to 148mm and fits bont boots sizes: 4 - 5.5
  • Medium: Plate Size 244mm with a wheelbase of 132mm to 168mm and fits bont boots sizes: 6 - 8.5
  • Large Plate Size 264mm with a wheelbase of 142mm to 188mm and fits bont boots size: 9+

Cushions

The cushions are made with extremely high end urethane and they are made in the USA. They come in 4 hardnesses.

Axles

Axles

The axles are made from Chrome-moly which is a high end material for axles.

Toe Stopper

Toe Stopper

We took the best stoppers on the market as a benchmark and then raised the bar by researching the latest rubber compounds to produce our Magic Molta formula. This formula is not only long lasting but it has ultra high rebound. To cut the weight down, we hollowed out the aluminum shaft.

Kingpin

Colors

The kingpin comes in two options: Titanium or Steel. The Titanum kingpin is hollow and offers around a 6 gram weight advantage per kingpin over the steel version.

Okay just kidding, here are the real instructions below:

Instructions

This instruction manual is a guide for basic plate mounting. Many skaters and coaches have different opinions on where the plate should be mounted so if in doubt, please talk to a trusted skate shop about having your plates mounted.

  1. Locate the center line on the bottom of the boot. Determine the center line by;
  1. Locating the center of the heel of the boot and place a mark
  2. Locating the center of the widest point of the sole (ball of foot) by measuring an equal distance from both sides to the center, and place a mark. (Bont boots may already have these lines drawn for you.)
  3. Draw a line through these two points.Instructions
  1. Position the carbon plate so the center line marks on the plate match the center line marks on the boot.
  2. Adjust the carbon plate forward or backward so the front and rear sliders can be positioned correctly. Pay attention to the location of the toe stop and front axle placement.
  3. Once the plate is positioned correctly, mark one of the rear mounting holes using a punch or pen.Instructions
  4. Remove the innersole from the boot.
  5. Drill a hole through the rear marks that you made on the boot. Double check the alignment of the forward mounting holes.
  6. IMPORTANT: Please remember to have forward and #15 rear stud nut installed.
  7. You are now ready to mark the forward mounting holes and the other rear mounting hole with punch or pen.
  8. Drill the other three mounting holes and attach the plate using the mounting hardware.
  9. Check to make sure the boot and plate lines are in perfect alignment.
  10. Check all mounting hardware for tightness.Instructions

SLIDER INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT

The sliders attach to the carbon plate using #14 steel Allen bolt and #18 internal tooth washer which fasten to #15 Stud Nut.

Instructions

It is recommended that once you find your placement of axles by moving the #2 and#5 sliders forward or backward, that you ensure the tightness of the #14 steel Allen bolt into the #15 stud nut.

SUSPENSION HARDNESSES

It is extremely important to remember that the #24 action nut must be snug. If it is not snug it can cause failure of suspension hardware. #12 Barrel and #11 cone cushions can be mix and matched to find the perfect setup for you. Use small rotations of the Action nut and cushion hardness to find your sweet spot.

#11 Cone cushion (closest to floor when skating)

#12 Barrel cushion (closest to the plate)

Available Hardness:
  • 78A Purple (Super Soft)
  • 83A Blue (Soft)
  • 88A Black (Medium)
  • 93A Red (Hard)
Available Hardness

RECOMMENDED ACTION ADJUSTMENT

  1. Loosen Action Nut Locking Screw with Allen wrench.
  2. Adjust Action Nut with wrench in the clockwise direction to make the action more rigid, or in the counter- clockwise direction to make it softer.
  3. Action Nut Locking screw now can be retightened.
  4. IMPORTANT: The Action Nut Locking screw should only be removed completely when you are changing the cushions.
  5. IMPORTANT: When making Action adjustments always check that the pivot pin is well inserted and is exerting slight pressure into the pivot cup.

RECOMMENDED PIVOT ADJUSTMENT

  1. Loosen the pivot pin locking nut with a 10mm wrench.
  2. Adjust the Pivot Pin in or out with a 10mm wrench until this is inserted properly and exerting slight pressure into the pivot cup.
  3. Retighten the pivot pin locking nut.

TOE STOPPER

Screw the #9 to stopper into the #2 toe stopper plate.

Lock it in place with #4 Toe stop locking screw.
