BONT'S HISTORY OF QUAD BOOTS
In The early 90’s, just before the inline boom, Bont was the king of quad speed skates. Bont won more world titles than any other brand with all the best skaters wearing Bont’s famous quad boots with the Kangaroo logo. Our boots were the first in the world to have a fiberglass base and the first to have a base that cupped the heal. Our light weight one piece construction with super stiff bases took the skating world by storm.
TODAY
By popular demand, we have reintroduced the Bont quad skates. We have a number of models to cover your needs. We have old school designs with modern materials such as carbon fiber. All Bont quad boots are fully heat moldable and they use our latest thermo-set resins so you can pop them in the oven and mold them to your feet.
QUAD RACER AND QUAD RACER LEATHER
The Quad Racer leather is our original quad speed boot. It features leather outer skin, leather liner and a fiberglass base. The Australian leather is extremely supple and the skates feel like you are wearing slippers they are that comfy. The fiberglass base is super stiff and cups the heal. This model is offered in 3 variations:
- 1) The Quad Racer is the entry level skate which has a microfiber liner and outer skin with a fiberglass base.
- 2) The Quad Racer Leather has leather outer and liner with a fiberglass base.
- 3) The Quad Racer Carbon has a leather outer and liner with an exposed carbon fiber composite base.
QUAD RACER CARBON
The Quad Racer Carbon is a new take on an old classic. Modern material advances make for an old school theme combined with a super light weight carbon composite base.
Derby Patriot
We have taken the same materials and construction from the racing skates to develop a super comfy and responsive derby skate. The boot has a 1/4" heal rise, protection around the toes, two velcro straps, is higher cut than the speed boot. This model is offered in 2 variations: The Derby Patriot Pro and the Derby Patriot. Both models come standard with 2cm thick, super tough Australian cow hide outer skin and TPU bumpers to protect the front and side of the boot. The padding is a high density memory foam. The Derby Patriot comes with a light weight microfiber liner that we use in our racing boots and a fiberglass base. The Derby Patriot Pro has a suede-l lining that is extremely soft and it has a carbon base.

BONT LASTS
Bont's lasts have evolved over the past 30+ years. All our lasts are now made with a combination of laser scans from over 20,000 people and hand crafting by Mr. Inze Bont. The result is the best last on the market. (A last is a plastic foot that the boot is made on).
HEAT MOLDING YOUR SKATES
Your Bont Quad Boots are the most heat moldable quad boots on the market. They are made with a specially designed thermo set resin that allows your shoe to become soft when the right amount of heat is applied. You can heat mold your shoes as many times as you like to achieve the perfect fit. There is no need to heat mold your shoes if you feel they already fit your feet perfectly. If you do want to heat mold them, here's how you do it:
- - Pre heat the oven to 60-70C (140-160F).
- - Remove the innersole if your boots have innersoles, also remove your plates/wheels and laces.
- - Place your boots in the oven for 20 minutes
- - Take the boots out of the oven. Test the inside with your hand to make sure it won't scald your foot.
- - Put the boots on your feet and tighten them up very tightly
- - Wait for them to cool and they will be molded to your feet.

CUSTOM AND SEMI CUSTOM BOOTS
Bont Quad Boots are available in full custom for +$220 or semi custom for +$30. With semi custom, you can fax us your feet tracings and we alter the last to your foot width before making the skate.
