Still waiting for your Fitness and Speed Skating Times (FASST)
magazine? The FASST office is still recovering from the hurricanes,
which hit Florida late summer/early fall. Lauri Dowling, Editor to
FASST, said that the magazine will be sent out shortly to subscribers.
The nationwide program FreeSkateLesson.com, designed to encourage new
converts to the world of inline skating, is back for its third year in
2005. The concept is simple. Recruit skating instructors to give away
free lessons to encourage more people to take up the sport and stick to
it. Over the past two years, the Free Skate Lesson program received
thousands of lesson requests. While lessons can be given at all skill
levels, the program is mostly tailored to beginners. People interested
in the program can sign up for a free lesson online at
www.FreeSkateLesson.com.
