ASSESSMENT All Bont Boots carry a 2 year warranty on boot manufacture and
materials.
Very occasionally a customer may feel that their Bont
boot doesn't meet the high quality they have come to trust from Bont. In these rare cases,
we need to see the boot(s) to assess it for the cause of the complaint. As rare as boot
problems are, they sometimes do occur.
If the boot is over 2 years old, we can still repair it
for a small fee depending on the amount of damage. If the boots are beyond repair, there
is not much we can do with them except throw them out.
Above all, we want your Bont skating experience to be as
pleasant as possible. We stand behind our product 100%.
ANSWERS TO BOOT PROBLEMS
My leather is coming unglued.
A: Get some contact adhesive from any hardware shop and
glue it back down.
The boots I bought don't fit me properly.
A: Take them back to the shop you purchased them from
and they should be able to help you if they are not worn. If they have been mounted to a
frame or a blade it is very hard for us to re-sell them and you will have to re-sell them
yourself.
I want a lace cover on my boot now.
A: A lace cover must be built into the boot, it can't be
added later.
My leather is worn out.
A: If the outside leather is slightly scuffed, you can try to touch it up
by using some leather paint from a craft an hobby shop.
My boot is broken or cracked.
A: If the boot is under 2 years old we will repair or
replace a broken or cracked boot. Refer to 'Returning boots for Assessment' below for more
information.
My boots are giving me blisters
A: Please refer to our heat molding instructions on our
FAQ page. Please ensure that your boots fit you
correctly, you may need expert assistance for correct fitting from a skate shop. Please
refer to fitting a Bont boot.
I have heat molded and I am still getting blisters.
Make sure you have let your feet heal before skating
again. Try heat molding again and again. You can re-heat mould your boots as many times as
you need to. In some circumstances a standard Bont boot will not fit you and you will need
a semi custom or custom pair of boots.
